Japanese Style Lamp #2

| October 2025 |

This is the second of three Japanese style lamps in this series. This lamp is made from Acacia that was salvaged from an old cutting board. The lantern paper is attached to Pine frames that are friction fit into the rabbits cut into the lamp frame. To add more visual interest, I decided to make the base on the lamp smaller than the lantern itself, a design I saw on Pinterest. The Poplar base is glued to a large rabbit that was cut on the bottom of the lamp. Similar to the first lamp, the top of the lamp is removeable to provide access to the light bulb and 3D printed lamp socket. Spray on Matte Rust-Oleum Polyurethane was used for the finish.
