TechSpark Desk Sign

This is a 96" x 30" sign made from 3/4" furniture grade plywood that is finished on one side. The "TechSpark" text and logo are made from two layers of 1/4" Masonite that were glued together using epoxy to create a 1/2" height that adds depth to the sign and allows for the red accents on the logo. The tools around that sign were created from vector traced clip art images in CorelDraw and laser cut on 1/4" Masonite. Two 8' long LED strips run along the top of the sign lighting it from above. The sign is not fixtured to the back of the desk, instead pieces of plywood are mounted to the bottom of the counter about 14/16" from the back face to create a channel that the top of the sign can slide into. This blocking and the LED strips are hidden by painted strips of Masonite trim that wraps around the top of the sign. Matching trim was also attached to the bottom of the sign using epoxy.
